Calm Evening at Hvítserkur

Rising 15m from the sea, Hvítserkur was once surrounded by rock craters which slowly gave way to the pounding of ocean waves leaving behind this rock outcropping. Icelandic legend tells that this rock was once a troll who forgot to retreat before morning and was thus turned to stone at sunrise.
